Pretty in Pink Petals

There is a wonderful, creative cake artist name Miso Bakes.  She held monthly challenges on her blog, encouraging cake decorators out there to think outside the box or outside the “tip” in this case.  Miso would give a tip number and a color of buttercream to be used and pretty much after that it was up to the artist.  This was a great exercise for me since I usually just associated each tip with having one purpose. I give Miso a lot of credit for helping me start thinking creatively when it came to dessert! :)  This cake was done using a petal tip.

I love the blog. I love the cakes. I love your talent. I love you! Okay, I am your mom so loving you is a given….. It delights me immeasurably to see the manifestation of your skills. You have loved decorating cakes your whole life. I am so proud to see the new heights that you have achieved. Your creations produce such joy in the beholder and in the recipient. “Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.” Psalm 33:2-4 Just keep using your skills to the glory of God!!!!!

    • Thank you, MOM! :) I’ll have to remember that verse….Play skillfully…that’s about right for what I do. Now I’ll just have to remember to shout out with joy every so often. :) So thankful that God has given me these playful skills and thankful for the parents He’s blessed me with that encourage me. Love you!
